SNACK TIME
According to our schedule this year, we will be eating lunch at 11:40 each day. With so much learning taking place each morning, our brains may need an energy boost. I will have time set aside for a short snack period during each morning. Your child may bring a snack to enjoy and re-boost their energy level if you/they choose to do so. I will not be providing the snack.
Here are a few suggestions in choosing an appropriate snack.
• Healthy snacks are best!
• Crackers
• Cut veggies
• Fruits
• Pretzels
• Granola bars
•Yogurt
•Jello
•Dry cereal
• No chocolate, candy, or junk food please
Remember, this is just a snack. We do not want to spoil their appetites for lunch. The amount of something brought in should be limited to a plastic sandwich-size (Ziploc) bag.
Sodas and juices are not part of our snack time. Your child may bring in a bottle of water to keep with them and drink throughout the day (this must have a lid). We do have water bottle filling stations for refills.
Students will not be sharing or trading snacks. The snacks will remain in their backpack/lunchbox until snack time begins, and put away after about 15 minutes.
Thank you for your support and cooperation.
