Social Skills/Behavior Management Plan
Students at Fairview are expected to be SAFE, RESPECTFUL, and RESPONSIBLE.
However, I will also be teaching students the following skills throughout the year. These skills are monitored daily.
1. How to follow instructions (FI)
2. How to listen and respect others (LR)
3. How to get the teacher's attention (TA)
4. How to accept criticism or a consequence (AC)
5. How to complete tasks (CT)
6. How to apologize (AP)
7. How to disagree appropriately (DA)
8. How to assume responsibility (AR)
I use a checkmark system to note the number of times I have interacted with your child regarding these Social Skills. The checkmarks are recorded in their planner. The behavior checks are as follows:
One Check = brief interaction between student and teacher
Two Checks = additional interaction and minor loss of privilege
Three Checks = complete loss of privilege/ Possible Office Referral
